In the main while thank you once again, and all my compliments for the result you have achieved on the DX200. When it is used as player for my car (the 85% of its use), your upgrade were by far more “pleasant and effective” than all the work I’ve done changing the whole set of speakers and the car audio amplification system.

As for the FiiO, I am delighted: a wider / deeper soundscape, better definition, very enjoyable listening experience — thank you very much.

Hi Keetakawee, I just received the ultimate modded Hugo 2. I tested with my all time favourite superstar MJ <XSCAPE> 24bit 96khz, the mod is impressive for the resolution & bass, MJ vocal is more forward and detailed, & I can hear more percussion background & instrument arrangement on the track. & for the bass, it is more punchy & realistic, & right now I can tune my JH Layla Attenuator from 3pm back to 12pm, in order to feel more on the texture of the bass. The whole presentation is more lively than before, thx for your nice work.

Hello Keetakawee

My modded Mojo arrived today, and I’m currently listening to my Legend X SE through the new 2.5mm jack. It sounds fantastic – thank you! I always enjoyed the Mojo, but now it’s almost like a new player. Only problem is, I think I’m now going to have to send you my Hugo 2 so you can work your magic on that as well. Thank you again, and I’ll be in touch when I’ve saved up for the Hugo 2 Signature Mod!

Regards,
Amanda

It’s taken a few days to settle/burn in but now, it’s sounding great! Quite high resolution and ‘speed’ but lovely tone, and musical timing. Obviously I can’t compare with the unmodded M15, but it’s streets ahead of my old M11 (as it should be!).

Thanks!

Been trying out the DX220 + AMP9 Fidelizer Masterpiece mod this evening. Very impressed! I try not to rely on my memory for music – especially the amount of time it’s been to send the DX220 there and back. I compare to my iPhone, and there definitely appears to be a better/larger difference than before. Everything appears to be a little tighter and better placed – and just feels more enjoyable. The differences are noticeable with the CA Solaris, and even more so with the Focal Stellia. I tend to prefer the Solaris for the exemplary bass (it’s just right for me), whereas the Stellia win for clarity, imaging and amazing soundstage. The hiss is still there with the Solaris. The Solaris doesn’t sound quite as good with the DX220/AMP9 Modernizer as my main amp, but the difference isn’t crazily huge (which is a surprise considering my main tube amps are crazily huge!).

Edit: wife just grabbed the Stellia and DX220/AMP8 mod before I could even listen properly, and once was listening, smiled and said “I’m listening to these, you can go upstairs to listen to those big amps with those uncomfortable headphones (LCD4)”. Don’t think I’m getting it back this evening…

Hey man got Amp8 back finally. Clarity and detail are improved quite a bit. Very nice! The only thing i picked up is, background noise is a bit more prominent then stock Amp8. But i think i will get used to it. Just need to spend some time away from Amp1 which has lower noise ceiling. Overly, I’m happy. Thank you!

UPDATE:

Hi Keetakawee,
I feel bad about that remark about background noise which went into feedback. It is not realated to your mod.

Basicaly what it was is i had to pump amp1 to medium gain to be a get more dynamic. With amp8 i dont need it to be on medium. And after getting it back i did not turn it down. Thats why i had that dirrerence.
Feel free edit and remove that section. It really should not be there.
Your mod is flawless!

Hi, I listened to it and it was fantastic. It is now much more musical and I can’t stop listening to it. Thanks a lot 🙂

Regards

I don’t know about the advanced rom but fidelizer did a remarkable job modding the amp9. The level of depth
I get is beyond what I have ever experienced going even deeper than n8. This is organic to dripping max,
not to mention sounding so vivid and realistic. Feel like I finally got the sound I deserve! The fidelizer
guy must have been smoking something real potent while he was cooking my amp9 tube circuit.
Hope this wasn’t coincidental. 🙂

Hugo2 sounds a lot better. After listening for a while, I noticed clarity and details improved significantly. Background is much more quiet with more micro details revealed. I’d say it sounds better around 40-50% for improvements.

Listening to my Fiio X7 modified and upgraded by Keetakawee Punpeng, sounds truly amazing. The music sounds better than I have ever experienced. X7 is docked in a Fiio K5 connected to a graham slee ultra linear diamond edition headphone amp and using beyerdynamic T1 2nd gen headphones.

Hello Keetakawee,

Listened to your modded Amp9. Surely better sound audible in all tracks I’ve heard. The “hardness” of AMP5 disappeared , no harsh at all! Also less power, but for SE846 it’s good enough! Thanks again for your precious help

Hi, just wanted to tell you that the Mojo mod you did for me is exquisite. The Mojo sounds so clear with no harshness at all. Before your mod I thought the Mojo and DX200 were very close in performance and I find the Mojo to be substantially better than the DX200 now. Thank you very much.

I have only just started to listen to this modded AMP8,and it sounds surreal. I just wanted to listen few songs for testing, ended by using 2hours! This is something, glad I took a chance with this, well paid for!!!

Hello, since I wrote you my message this morning, I can say that my headphones do not leave my ears, the sound is really sublime, you did a lot of work, the detail in the instruments is amazing. I feel like I have another dap. And I rediscover my favorite albums with great pleasure. Bravo for your work.

I just tried my Fidelizer-powered X5iii against Fiio’s latest M9 DAP. The M9 is a huge improvement over the stock X5iii but no match against your powerful mod. 🙂

Comparing X5iii + fidelizer against X7ii however, it’s very close. The former a touch warmer. I can’t imagine if the X7ii being modded as well. Have not tried it against a SE100 yet. ^^

My DX200 never sounded so good! Not a small improvement, the DX200 with ultimate upgrade is a completely new beast. I used to output my DX200 to my chord hugo 2, and now I am reconsidering using the h2 at all (besides for driving utopia headphones, which the dx200 struggle with).

All in all, a step forward for an already great product, and thanks to Keetakawee for being so responsive and helpful along all the steps! Cedric (London)

Hi. Got the amp. Good job, perfect match with kse1500
Thanks

I modified both device and Amp module (which has soft mute circuit bypassed for better sound than not to)

I can say that this one can go up all the way in the same level as SP1000cu/ss only that the house sound is not the same character.

SP1000 both version sound more edgy and meatier than my mod DX200 which makes vocal sound more like a real person in some recording but it make some song sound weird and SP1000 both version is better in layering in depth axis but not much better. Other than that, DX200 with Fidelizer Ultimate Mod is equal to both SP1000 and beat them in some category.

Modded DX200 has wider soundstage, more reference sound and also more musical than before modding. You’ll feel how the recordings were recorded for real! Something that was hidden when I use original DX200 was showed in great layering even the sound character will not render the sound layering more obvious like SP1000 do but you will be surprised by how it can be improved. Whispering sound in background of recording becoming more obvious to recognize without volume up. The echo of the vocal and instrument is more real.

I intended to do only Amp1 modification but when I hear DX200 with Fidelizer ultimate mod, I changed my mind. After I heard what the one that he by-passed the soft mute circuit, it sounded even better that I sent back my unit to do it too.

If you are good to go and have some effort to wait for it, I suggest you to send your unit for ultimate modification. But you can try only Amp module modification first to make sure that his stuff is real deal.

If you need a suggestion, try his paid firmware modification first. It’s cheaper way to hear the difference and you can always get the update when newer version fw is out.

For more information and the price, contact him directly. Hope this helps. 🙂

Its gettin awesome as it burn in. I cant explain it technically, but this is the best dx200 mod ive heard. Because in indonesia there are few modder that can mod daps too.
Thanks to you!
